This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. We keep it simple and we don't sell your data to anyone.

Who we are

The Wild Learning Collective is a sole trader business operated by Matthias Clarke. Our website is at wildlearningcollective.com and you can reach us at hello@wildlearningcollective.com.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, Matthias Clarke (trading as The Wild Learning Collective) is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.


What information we collect

When you buy something — name, email address, delivery address, and payment details. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to how they handle your payment information.

When you sign up for our newsletter or discount offer — your email address only. We use this to send you offers, new book announcements, and news about the Wild Learning Collective. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

When you send a school enquiry — your name, email address, school name, and any other details you choose to include. We use this only to respond to your enquiry.

When you visit our website — we do not currently use tracking cookies or analytics tools that collect personal data. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.


How we use your information

We do not use your information for any automated decision-making or profiling.

We share your information only where necessary to run the business:

How long we keep your data

Order and customer records are kept for six years in line with HMRC requirements. Marketing email subscriptions are held until you unsubscribe. School enquiry emails are kept for up to twelve months unless we are in an active relationship with your school.

Cookies

Our website does not currently use cookies for tracking or analytics. Stripe may set cookies during the checkout process as part of their fraud prevention systems. We do not have access to or control over those cookies.


Children's privacy

Our products are for children but our website and purchasing process is directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

For our Wild Challenge, families may share photos of nature and activities with us. We never publish images of children on our public website. Any community sharing is opt-in and clearly explained at the point of submission.


Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. We will notify subscribers of any significant changes by email.
